Pricing & Process
Pricing & How We Work
Every case is different, so we don’t publish fixed prices. Instead, every engagement starts with a free, confidential consultation and a clear written quote — so you know the cost before any work begins.
How Pricing Works
Three ways we bill — explained plainly
Investigative work is custom by nature, so the right billing model depends on your case. Here’s how we structure it, and we’ll always tell you which applies before you commit.
Hourly
The model behind most engagements — including surveillance. You’re billed for the investigator’s actual time and effort, so you only pay for the work your case requires.
Flat-rate
Some well-defined services — such as a basic background check — have a predictable scope, so we can quote them at a single flat rate with no surprises.
Retainer
Longer, ongoing, or surveillance-heavy cases typically use a retainer — an up-front amount we draw from as work proceeds, with the balance reconciled against actual hours.
What to Expect
Typical ranges
Cost depends on the type of case, how much time it takes, travel, and the level of documentation you need. Rates vary — please call. For surveillance, ask about a package deal when you call.
Your final cost is always set by the free written quote you receive after your consultation — never an estimate pulled from a price list. There are no hidden fees, and we won’t begin work until you’ve approved the scope and quote in writing.
Our Process
A clear path from first call to final report
Walking through the steps makes the cost predictable — you’ll always know where your case stands and what comes next.
Free consultation
A confidential conversation where we listen, understand your situation, and assess whether and how we can help — at no cost or obligation.
Scope & written estimate
We define exactly what the investigation will cover and put the pricing in writing, so you can decide with the full picture in front of you.
Retainer
For most cases you place a retainer to begin. We draw from it as the work proceeds and reconcile it against the actual hours spent.
Investigation
Your licensed investigator carries out the work discreetly and lawfully, keeping you informed at the points that matter.
Documented report
You receive a clear, court-ready report with time-stamped findings, photos, and video where applicable — evidence you can act on.
